Let us thank whatever gods there be (if any) for what the Pilgrims were most beholden... FREEDOM...freedom of religion as well as freedom from religion. It was, in fact, someone else’s religious beliefs that the Pilgrims were fleeing from and these same Pilgrims were tolerant of other religious belief only because, as a minority, they were victims of it. Once they became a majority in the New World, they began inflicting their beliefs upon others just as was done to them...All in the name of God.

I am ever grateful that I am free to pen a letter such as this and equally grateful that others, no matter how much they may disagree with me or with one another, are free to do the same.

Being happy, free and thankful for it is the highest attainment of humankind and with the choice of acknowledging whomever or whatever we deem appropriate without being intimidated by creeds, dogmas, politics or any powers that may wish to do so...Amen.
