Charles Eld red said the trees probably pose a safety hazard only to those who are being slowed down from taking that corner at 40 miles per hour. Eldred called for a lowered speed limit or at least having signs posted to enforce the statutory 35 mile per hour limit. “This council has gone on record as taking no action” he said of the speeders, suggesting that acting on the current debate would only take out the obstructions so they could do it easier.

Eldred added that several non-conforming buildings had been built or renovated recently, yet “It seems there’s only one pally we’re clamping down on. There’s all kinds of construction going on.”
Miller responded that if the town had clamped down on The Inn, it was “only because what was done was not what we were told would be done.”
A court stenographer who had recorded the portion of the meeting dealing with The Inn was. then excused. The transcript was sent to town attorney Douglas Baumgardner for his review. Dickey asked for a copy of the minutes of the last meeting. Miller said he would ask Baumgardner whether he erfcld have them.
