‘Clarence Darrow’ presented A one-man show about this “monumental giant of trial law” will be coming to the Gay St. Theatre of Washington on Sept. 21 at 8 p.m. The play, orginally performed by Henry Fonda on Broadway, portrays Clarence Barrow’s battles in the courtroom as well as his personal life. It will be performed by Ted Eiland of Florida and is being produced by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community, a non-profit, volunteer organization. Admission is $6 ($6 for RAAC members). Call 676-3193 for information.
Yard sale The Child Care and Learning Center will hold another yard sale on Aug. 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sale will be located at Gib Whorton’s fruit stand west of Washington on Route 211. Lots of bargains.
Family reunion The family reunion held annually on the'first Sunday in September at Flatwood will be held again this year, however the location will be at the Bing Crosby Stadium at Shelter #2 on Commerce Avenue bypass near the Welfare building in Front Royal on Aug. 31 from 8:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. Please bring a picnic lunch and friends.
Extension Agent dinner Notice to Extension Homemakers Club members: The dinner for the new Extension Agent, Elizabeth Stout, will be held Sept. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Recreation Park in Washington. Plates, cups, napkins, utensils and beverage will be provided. Please bring utensils for your covered dish. Notify your club president before Sept. 4 if you plan to attend.

Coppage reunion The family of the late George and Florence Leake Coppage will hold a reunion Sept. 8 at the Rappahannock Recreation Park on Route 211 near Washington. All relatives and friends are welcome. “Come and join us with love and fellowship,” said a family spokesperson. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
