Jim and Lila Hawkins of Calverton proudly announce the marriage of their daughter, Yvonne Ford, to John Laurence of Raymond, N.H. Yvonne is the granddaughter of Clarence Whorton of Washington and Otis Hawkins of Woodville.
The wedding took place Aug. 3 aboard the yacht, “Cruise Power,” anchored off the coast of Plum Island, Mass. Smaller boats surrounded the yacht, carrying approximately 200 guests. The bride was given in marriage by her mother, her brother, Mike, and Dick Jedry, Captain of the “Cruise Power.”
