In a related matter the college will also offer Gerontology I, an overview of the field of gerontology.

A primary goal of the program is to sensitize the student to the characteristics of the older population.

The class is scheduled to be held on Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. beginning Sept. 11. Registration for Virginia residents is $63.25.

Steve Alexander is also the contact person for Gerontology II.

Also being offered this fall is Principles of Winemaking on Thursdays from 7-10 p.m.

The course is designed for serious home winemakers and those interested in considering commercial production.

The class, which begins Sept. 12, is to be taught by Jim Law, winemaker and consultant to area wineries.

The cost of the course for Virginia residents is $63.25.
