Earl G. Farris
Earl Garfield Farris, 61, of Brightwood died on Aug. 21 at National Hospital in Arlington.
Mr. Farris was a construction worker and a veteran of World War II.
His survivors include one son, Raymond Earl Farris of Conowingo, Md.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Martha Ellis of Boston, Mrs. Eva Rudy of Damascus, Mrs. Rose Kilby of Shady Valley, TN and Mrs. Ruth Forster of Glade Springs.
A funeral service was held at Clore Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper on Aug. 23. The Rev. Clyde Woodard of Amissville officiated. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Damascus on Aug. 24.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Richard P. Tylar
Richard Peyton Tylar, 44, of Culpeper, died on Aug. 25 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville after a water accident.
Mr. Tylar was employed as a cablesplicer technician by C&P Telephone Co. and was a member of the Rappahannock Hunt.
He is survived by one daughter, Miss Kimberly Tylar of Satellite Beach, Fla.; two sons, Michael Tylar of Orange and Alan Tylar of Culpeper; and his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. George Tylar of Hendersonville, N.C.
A funeral service was held at the Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper on Aug. 28. The Rev. Vance Mann of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Culpeper County Rescue Squad. Clore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
