With the large tent, poles, lanterns, stove, cots, foam mattresses, etc. we just needed more room. Change of plans No. 10.
U-haul was approached for a small trailer to pull behind the Bronco. Perfect!
Now all of the extra gear could be packed into the U-haul trailer and simply pulled along behind the Bronco. Wrong!
When we leave on Sept. 7, on our way to Idaho, we will be driving the Bronco pulling a fully-loaded trailer, a 6-by-14-foot model from U-haul, containing: Three overstuffed backpacks, three bows, nine dozen arrows, three high powered rifles, one shotgun, three large coolers, two backpacker tents, one large cabin tent, three lanterns, one three burner stovve, two-single burner backpack stoves, 34 pounds of freeze dried food, one dining fly, six pairs of boots, three cots and mattresses, one large gasoline drum — (oh, did I mention that we are also taking along three-wheel and four-wheel AT Vs?) — and anything else that will add to the creature comforts that we haven’t thought of, yet.
