The number of kindergarten students who cried at the beginning of the day was low this year, according to elementary school principal Margaret Piper. “They were the best kids I’ve seen with only a few criers, and those were the ones whose mothers brought them to school,” she said.
High school principal Robert Chappel termed the day “super. Everything went very, very well.”
