Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell enjoyed dinner Sunday evening at the Virginia Gentleman in Front Royal.

The annual reupion of the, J. L. Gore family was held this year at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lauton Blankenbaker at Haywood. Frances Blankenbaker, one of 12 grandchildren, was hostess to the nine others. All of the descendants, more than 60 people, attended. Among them were Mr. and Mrs. Rex Lindstrom (Virginia being one of the grandchildren), Helen Benton of Sperryville and Louise Campbell of Luray, also grandchildren.

Mrs. Edna Wayland visited in the Boston area on Friday with her aunt, Mrs. Ertha Hawkins, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan, Mrs. Elizabeth Dean and Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Burke.

Guess who’s sporting new gold heart earrings? I’ll give you a clue — a cute little four-year-old with long, blonde hair. She just had her ears pierced Friday.

Mrs. Anna Fincham of Remington and Mrs. Charles C. Burke had lunch Sunday at Nona Gioia’s in Sperryville.

A special dinner was given to the employees of the Comer Post Restaurant at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herndon Hudson. Those attending were Veryl Shultz, John Baumgardner, Rhonda and Jeff Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Smoot and Crystal, Jennifer Veryling, Daniel Joel, Greg and Peggy Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Doug Ricketts and Stacy, Etta Estes, and Mrs. May Hudson and Carol. Afternoon callers were Mrs. Frances Eubank and Mr. and Mrs. Frankie Hitt. The best of luck to Veryl, Greg, Dan, Joel and Jennifer when they go back to school this fall.
