arrived v in New York where they were detained at customs, causing half of them to miss tfye flights to their destinations. Rafael was one of them. The Helmers about died when he didn’t step off his scheduled flight to Washington! He’s here now!

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schoppet of Warren County celebrated Dot’s birthday (wish die would tell us which one!) at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schoppet this past weekend. They all had a great time socializing and watching movies on the VCR.
John Henry, our Sheriff, and Peggy Woodward, his wife, spent two days in Charlottesville attending the Virginia Sheriffs Conference where John (not Jr.) went to many beneficial meetings. Peggy stayed at the motel (by herself) and watched all the movies on HBO and used the pool when weather permitted, which wasn’t much!
J. T. Woodward was a guest Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. John L. May.
Peggy Woodward, Charlotte Tummyer of Flint Hill and four other ladies fi*om Front Royal enjoyed seeing the Pointer Sisters at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D. C., last week. They had a terrific time, and the Pointer Sisters performed for two solid lively hours! Yeah, yeah, doing the “Neutron Dance!”
