'Love, Lottie' Day at Hopewell
A “Love, Lottie” Day will be held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. The event will honor Lottie Aylor, a lifelong resident of Rappahannock County and a friend to many. Organizers urges area residents to participate in this special program by singing a song, reciting a poem or just simply telling Miss Lottie, “I love you.” “If you don’t know Miss Lottie, come anyway and eryoy the evening," said a spokesperson.
Beef Breeders Symposium
The Extension Service will hold its 1988 Beef Seedstock Breeders Symposium on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the Ingleside Hotel in Staunton. The theme for this educational conference is “Breeding Balanced Trait Cattle by the Numbers.” For more information call the Extension Office (675-3619/3776).
Community Thanksgiving service
The annual community Thanksgiving service will r»e held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington, with the Rev. lather Albert Verbeke preaching. Recycling Day Nov. 19
The Rappahannock Anti-Litter League and You (RALLY') vyill hold the third Community Recycling Day on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 911 a.m. at the Rappahannock County Park on Ri. 211 White plastics (bleach bottles, milk jugs, oil containers), glass, aluminum cans, newspapers and magazines will all be accepted. At this time, tin and steel cans will not. Please bundle or bag newspapers and magazines, however do not use synthetic, plastic or wire siring, or plastic hags.
