Band will
play for PTA
In an encore performance from a similar event last year, the RCES Band will play a “lecture practice concert" at December’s PTA meeting at the elementary school, set for Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m.
According to Baud Director Da vid Orth, the performance will allow him to talk to the students’ parents about the concepts taught in band class, and gi\cs the students an opportunity to put their skills to work in ?. concert setting.
Mr. Orth said that the performance last year was ‘tremendously successful” and met with a great response from the parents who attended the meeting.
The RCES Band is made up of students in the fifth, sixth and seventh grades. Mr. Orth is the director for both the elementary and high school bands.
