The Class of 1938 of Washington High School held its 50-vear reunion at the School House Restaurant in Flint Hill on Oct. 15. Quite a few members of the class had attended school in that building in Flint Hill, and one member of the class had returned to teach there.
Twenty-five members of the class attended the reunion, and to the class’s delight, several of their teachers came too. Marion Marlowe White of Linden brought a big surprise — our English teacher, Ms. Gaylord Gibson of Front Royal. Minnie Sealock Kreisher brought our former basketball coach, Susan Woolston, who now lives in Front Royal.
Two other teachers came all the way from Henderson, N.C., to join the members of the class at their reunion.
Twelve members of the class attended the reunion. Some brought their husbands or another guest.
