The county schools have agreed to allow the league to use the fields at the elementary school for practices and games.
And they’ve provided expertise in several areas. Mrs. Carney asked Superintendent David Gangel about how to lay out the fields. He described the method for surveying the fields, then volunteered to do it himself. “There he was, out in the rain on a Saturday with his surveyor’s transit, marking the boundaries of the fields."
