In HSA I, the geographical region including Culpeper and other local hospitals, the median cost pei stay increased 10.3 percent tc $3,336.
At CMH the average cost per stay increased 5.9 percent to $2,914. Mary Washington Hospital increased 15.1 percent to $3,854; Fauquier Hospital increased 21.4 percent to $4,439; UVA Hospital increased 8.5 percent to $7,713; and Martha Jefferson Hospital increased 10.9 percent to $2,711.
CMH’s success at keeping rates low is due to the teamwork of medical staff, management, and hospital staff in dealing with the utilization of health care resources, the spokesman said.
