Recycling in Rappahannock continues to roll, gaining momentum as each month passes. The Rappahannock Anti-Litter League and You (RALLY) plans its third Community Recycling Day at the county park on Rt. 211 this Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9-11 a.m.
According to litter coordinator Nina Stamer, the first recycling effort on Sept. 16 reaped 500 pounds of newspapers, 300 pounds of glass and 20 pounds of aluminum cans. The second recycling day in October more than doubled most of the categories, and collected one ton of newspapers.
