County Beautification Day
The Rappahannock Anti-Litter League and You (RALLY) will sponsor its annual County Beautification Day on Saturday, April 1. Planned as a cleanup of the most litter-strewn areas of the county, RALLY is encouraging the participation of as many of the county’s residents as possible. T-shirts and refreshments will be provided for all. The rain date is the following Saturday, April 8. For more information about how to get involved or to report areas which are in partic- • ular need of attention, contact litter and recycling coordinator Nina Stamer (675-3810).
Business Council to meet
The Sperryville Business Council will meet on Monday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sperryville Antique Market. All members and/or interested persons are urged to attend. Final plans for the brochure and the Spring Festival will be discussed.
Writers' Group forming
A group is forming to share and discuss creative writing in all its forms. The group will meet twice a month, beginning in mid-April. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to call Susan Weinberg at 675-3905.
Life drawing
A life drawing adult workshop will begin Thursday, March 30 from 7-9 p.m. at Middle Street Gallery. This informal, open weekly session is for the person who wants to explore figure drawing on their own. Model is provided, but bring your own drawing supplies. Cost is $10 per session. Call 675-3440 or 675-3649 to pre-register.
Art exhibition
The 7th Congressional District and local high school art exhibition will present 25 winners from the 18-county competition sponsored by D. French Slaughter, Honorary Chairman. Also on display will be outstanding work by Wakefield and Rappahannock High School students. The opening reception will be held on March 31 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at Middle Street Gallery.
