Randall Updike of Washington has been named to the Beef Cattle Disease Consultant Group, according to Virginia Tech. Mr. Updike is a producer of champion black Angus cattle, and is an active advisor to the county’s 4-H clubs.
The group, one of three consulting groups organized in a cooperative venture between Virginia Tech’s Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine and livestock producers, will allow a closer relationship between the research veterinarians and producers in the field, the college said.
