On Feb. 25 the Sperryville Fire Hall was the setting for a party given by Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Brown in honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mrs. Brown’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gid Jenkins.

Those attending the party bringing gifts and extending good wishes were Mrs. Mary Tovar and daughter Maria of Florence, Ariz., Martha and Kenneth Smoot of Dickerson, Md., Mrs. Elizabeth Moler and daughter Shannon of Ranson, W.Va., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins and daughter Kim of Richmond, Mrs. Shirley Swart of Aldie, Mr. and Mrs. John Wayland of Fredericksburg, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jenkins, John Gaines and friend Carla of Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and family and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville were guests last Sunday afternoon of Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Corbin in Winchester and also enjoyed the evening meal with them.

Mrs. Mary Tovar and Maria of Florence, Ariz., spent a recent week with Mrs. Clarence W. Jenkins.

Those gathering with Johnny Weaver at the “Old Weaver Homeplace” for dinner on Saturday included Bobby Butler of Florida, Mrs. Betty Cahill of Winchester, Mrs. A.B. Mrs. Elizabeth Deane returned home on Monday from a stay in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
