nuts, cold pizza and so forth) of bacon, eggs, cereal and fruit its time for our “Scouts Own.” This is a quiet time with each troop reflecting back on creation and being a part of something bigger than life, of a world so sweet and of being a part of it.
As I was standing there listening to these children I looked up at Old Rag and the sun was reflecting from the rocks and I realized God was there and listening to us and he was as proud of them as I was. This was truly the most touching experience I’ve ever felt.
As we dismantled our camps and packed up to head home we hoped for fond memories of camping if its a first time, of comparing events to the experienced camper, to new or renewed friendships, of respecting our world and nature and a burning desire to share the adventure with others, to bring more girls into scouting next year to make it the biggest and best camp-out ever, so remember next year at registration time to come and share a “Mad Madness” experience with scouting.
