Washington’s Architectural Review Board approved three minor additions and renovations to The Inn at Little Washington at its meeting last Thursday night.
Peter Kreyling; representing owners Patrick O'Connell and Reinhardt Lynch, requested permission to install two lanterns on either Side of The Inn's front door. The lanterns were salvaged from the Tholand home on Piedmont Farms before it was demolished by the new o’yv.ner. i 'He also requested approval of a four-foot high fence behind the building to hide the kitchen’s grease barrels. The fence would match the existing fence which surrounds the restaurant’s outside garden, and would have hidden hinges to allow access to the barrels.
Mr. Kreyling told the board piembers that Messrs. Lynch and O’Connell would also like to replace the canvas privacy curtains on the hotel’s upstairs balcony with folding wooden panels.
