Some of Rappahannock’s fans speculated that it was the heat' that beat Earley. This was the first time she’s run in hot weather this year, and it was the first time she’s gotten sick after running, they reported. Earley was nauseous after the mile but said she felt better before limning the 2-mile.

Matt Eidson ran a strong 2-mile race. He was sixth for the first seven laps but was passed during the eighth and final trip around the track by George Mason’s Brian
