Forrest Whorton said his children were being taught in a religious school. “I'm strongly opposed to this teaching kindergarten children good and bad touches and demonstrating in class. I wonder how they would feel after being taught that and we have to do something that may be considered a bad touch . . . Some of the teachers we have are telling you that two homosexuals is a family . . . I think it ought to be taught against.”
Joe Reinboldt said he was planning to start his family, “Kids have a lot to learn. This is too much to handle. We can thank the left-wing liberals for this. At least delay it until sixth grade. We could delay it by saying it is getting in the way of teaching basic skills.”
Let kids be kids
Pam Fincham said she had two children in school and is a substitute teacher. “I teach a lot of the things in this at home. I don’t agree with everything in this document. I think kids should stay kids as long as they can. Wait until at least sixth or seventh grade . . . While my children are exempt they would ride on the school bus and be curious and ask about what they missed in class. If I keep them in they might not understand, and if I take them out they might get it wrong anyway."
