One of the most popular attractions, of course, has been the tradition of no admission charge at any of the events sponsored by the business council. That continues, although there is an admission charge at Oldway Craft Village, which is having its own exhibition this weekend.
For the convenience of visitors, Main Street in Sperryville will be blocked to all but local traffic during the two days of the festival, Saturday and Sunday, from late morning until late afternoon.
Along the street, instead of traffic, visitors will find booths stocked with food, art, crafts and entertainment. Many of the crafters will bring along demonstrations of their art, as well, Mr. Junk noted.
For children, there will be a petting zoo and games especially for them. And for children of all ages, the Fearless Airborne Conjury will again perform feats of magic — amazing and otherwise — laced with its unique comic touch. And for those too tired for a leisurely stroll, carriage rides will allow them to preview the festival from the comfort of a horse-drawn carriage.
The celebration, though centered on Main Street, is spread throughout the town. There will be booths set up at the Sperryville Emporium, where first aid will also be available from members of the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad.
