Natural
History Camp
set July 10-21
A Natural History Day Camp will be held at Rock Mills, July 10 through July 21 this summer.
The Day Camp sponsored by Piedmont Environmental Council and Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Fri-!; day. It is open to boys and girls en-; tering grades three through five. ';
Campers will explore forests,meadows, rivers, and ponds, and develop an awareness of living things and their interrelationships. The camp’s staff will strive to provide new knowledge and skills while emphasizing the fun and adventure of being out doors.
The camp’s home base will be the “Shaw House" on the property of Capt. and Mrs. Howard W. Holschuh near Rock Mills. This property. includes diverse forests, fields, ponds, streams, and rivers on the : north side of Red Oak Mountain.
Those wishing to apply should contact Mrs. Holschuh at 937-4721 for an application. The tuition is $90 for the two weeks. A limited number of scholarships are available.
