'Starlight,
star bright'
Come observe the spring stars, planets, and galaxies through a telescope and see a special presentation. This stellar program will be held at C. M. Crockett Park’s upper parking lot at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 27.
“Star light, Star Bright" is a astronomical program series wilich is sponsored and conducted by the Northern Virginia Astronomy Clut^ Amateur and serious observers are invited to this free program. Club member, Jim Shaffer will give a presentation on the “Planets.”
Crockett Park is located seven miles south of Warrenton off Route 643 on Route 602. Participants are encouraged to bring binoculars, and dress for the weather. The program will be cancelled in the event of rain. Call the park at 788-4867, for further information.
Preserving
family lands
Stephen J. Small, one of the country’s foremost experts on conservation easements, will speak to the Goose Creek Association Sunday, June 4, at 5:30 p.m. at the Trinity Church Parish Hall in Upperville.
Mr. Small has lectured on family land planning issues and on tax incentives for land conservation and is equally comfortable speaking to the small farmer as w'ell as to the large land holder. Residents interested in attending this meeting should call the Piedmont Environmental Council (347-2334).
