Recycling program to expand

The county's recycling center will soon accept tin cans, according to litter and recycling coordinator Nina Stamer. The additional service should be available in the coming months. Residents are requested to remove the labels from the cans and crush them to conserve space. She added that Chuck Stinnett of Piedmont Recycling, who handles the recycling, is working on recycling plastics as well. For information about recycling, contact Mrs. Stamer (675-3810).
