Text: THE GREATEST MISSION
In our daily lives, we are all on various missions. One may be, to say some encouraging words to someone who may be just a little sad, or feeling a little low in spirit.
Another may be, to provide transportation for someone where it's needed. Or maybe to pick up groceries from the store, just to name a few.
This is good, and we should do these things without having any second thoughts about them. But still, there is a mission that surpasses all that we are doing and have done. That is, when Jesus went to the cross to die and to save us from our sins. Mark 10:45 and John 3:16.
Even though Jesus said that His soul was exceeding sorrowful unto death, he was still willing to carry out His Father's will. Mark 14:34 and 36. Even though we cannot compare with Him in our daily missions, we can give our best, and trust that He will bless our efforts, in sharing the love that He has given us, and press forward to the mark of a higher calling, which is in Christ Jesus. May God ever bless and keep you is my prayer. We invite you to come and worship with us at Promise Land First Baptist Church, Washington whenever possible.
