I seriously doubt if each of those plants could produce more than an ounce or two of dried leaves, much less the one pound per plant as claimed, putting the street value closer to $6,000— not $60,000.
It seems to me our law enforcement tax dollars would be more effectively spent on drug and alcohol abuse programs, more and better jailspace, and some kind of prisoner work programs that could actually have a positive effect on the community and do more towards correcting the causes of real crime.
