Mr. and Mrs. Elmer S. Atkins of Sperryville have announced the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Judith Kay to Joel Lee Cress, son of Rev. and Mrs. Lonnie P. Cress of Warrenton.
Miss Atkins is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is presently employed with the family business.
Mr. Cress is a graduate of Fauquier County High School and of Virginia Tech and is employed as an electrical engineer with IBM in Manassas.
A wedding date of September 9 has been scheduled.
