tant Superintendent Robert Chappell as clerk and Superintendent David Gangel as deputy clerk. The Board also voted to continue meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. for most of the year, and at 8 p.m. during the summer months of June, July and August.

Bookkeeper Bonnie Hahn introduced the School Board members to the consequences of the new account structure established by the state Department of Education. “This has been ridiculous," she said, “work day and night, weekends and holidays." She gave them each a budget summary, which was 29 pages long, as opposed to the old summary which took three pages.

She also gave each copies of two formats for showing the bills to be paid at each meeting. The two-page form would only show the last item entered into the computer that was covered by the check to be drawn. In order to show all the items included in a bill, a five-page document would be needed, she said. She asked the members to indicate which form they preferred.

Mrs. Hahn also asked the the Board members to let her include payment for School Board members, substitute teachers and bus drivers, and all other part-time employees with the payroll accounts ‘rather than accounts receivable. “Accounts receivable doesn’t accommodate payroll,” she said. “It won’t figure
