Catherine Sheppard is sponsoring a gospel sing Friday night, July 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Rising Zion Baptist Church in Jeffersonton. The church is located on Rt 621. The program will feature the Gospel Stars of Madison. Two offerings will be taken one for the Gospel Stars and one for the Amissville Rescue Squad. Everyone is encouraged to attend. Parade winners of the Amissville Firemen’s Carnival follow. According to parade co-chairman LT. David Milboume III, this was their best parade. Appreciation was expressed to everyone in the area for their participation and support. Sheila Scott was parade chairman. They expect next year’s to be even better.
