The Flint Hill firemen are making plans for their annual Firemen’s Carnival to be held August 2-5. Plan now to attend and ride all night on Wednesday for one low price, the parade begins on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday the grand prize a 1989 Dodge car will be given away.
Recent guests in the home Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pullen Sr., Mrs. Floyd Menefee and David were Mr. and Mrs. Greg Smoot, Cheryl, Katrina and Jamie and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Smoot and Jason, all of Aiken, South Carolina, Patsy Smoot of Remington, Mr. arid Mrs. Udel C. Layton, Dee Dee and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lambert, all of Charlottesville, Joe Beard of Culpeper, Beth of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. William Southard, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pullen Jr. and Robbie and James Menefee, all local.
Mr. and Mrs. Moe Walker were in Roanoke over the weekend to attend the Miss Virginia pageant. They met with the newly crowned Miss Tami Elliott of Virginia Beach. One of her first appearances will be at the Flint Hill parade on Thursday, August 3, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Roger Menefee and Joyce were Monday evening visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pullen and family.
