We have stop signs, speed limits, fines, and jail terms as reminders and deterrrents to crime. We demand that burglars, murderers, speeders, trespassers, embezzlers, etc., be restricted and punished for their crimes against society. Oh, Yes, We restrict their freedom to do evil. We want to be safer on our streets and highways and in our homes, so we teach our children to hold other persons in respect; we want them to be law-abiding citizens of a free country, where freedom is not license.
We will always have people exercising their god-given free will in ways which will harm themselves and others. But most of us laud persons like Mr. Von Fange and Mr. Heddleston for trying to inform our consciences so we may provide a clean, moral atmosphere in which children may grow up with healthy minds and souls, unblackened by the soot of immorality.
Let the children look forward to being what their parents should be, persons of virtue who eschew even “soft" porn (one pack a day instead of six?)!
