Lewis C. Nelson, Lord Nelson, as known at Charton House has recently returned to his residence 1316 Fenwick Lane, Apt. 112 Silver Spring, Md. from a three day trip (two days in Niagara Falls, Canada and one day Toronto Canada.) He was accomponied by his good friend Leonard Kanvrlin of Washington, D.C. who coordinated the entire trip for Lewis C. Nelson. He was a great and congenial roommate, no arguments at all. Upon arrival in Niagara Falls, and from a long trip from the beautiful Maryland countryside, also Harrisburg, Pa. and covered a portion of New York.si^fte, the trip took around six hoifcs^They thoroughly eryoyed the beautiful Niagara Falls.
Upon arrival in Niagara Falls they were greeted by an excellent tour guide of Niagara Falls who spent around four hours for the complete sightseeing trip.
In Toronto Canada, Lewis Nelson and his good friend Leonard Kanvrlin went to one of the largest buildings in the world, the time was approximately one minute. Enroute to Niagara Falls they had several breaks, a short stop for coffee and to stretch their legs. In Niagara Falls, Lewis Nelson and his good friend, also had an ice cream break between Silver Spring, Md. They stopped at a beautiful hotel in Niagara Falls for two nights and then to Toronto Canada for only one day.
East Coast Parlor Car Tours paid for most of the expense and the remaining cost had to be paid by Lewis Nelson and Leonard Kanvrlin. They had an excellent tour guide in Niagara Falls Canada.
Also in Niagara Falls they went on a small boat on Lake Errie. They were given raincoats so they would not get wTet. They actually didn’t need the raincoats on the decks of the small boat. Their guide on the boat was a naval lady officer who gave them an excellent tour.
They departed from Niagara Falls at 8:30 a.m. arriving in Washington, D.C. at approximately 8:30 p.m. Mr. Nelson took a cab from Washington, D.C. at approximately 9 p.m. to return to his residence in Silver Spring.
Amissville Ruritans express their gratitude to everyone for their support at the 28th annual beef bar, beque served Saturday night. Mr. Bill Segrest, president, said they believe this was their most successful barbeque. Appreciation was expressed to the scouts and to all volunteers for their assistance.
