Flint Hill carnival planned
Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department’s annual carnival will be held Aug. 2-5. Scheduled events include ride all evening Wednesday for one low price beginning at 7 p.m.; Thursday evening the parade beginning at Dodge. Area residents are urged to mark their calendars and make plans to attend.
Baseball Trophy Day set
The Amissville Baseball League will hold a picnic and “Trophy Day” on Aug. 19. (Please note date change from July 23). Awards will be presented as well as a drawing for an autographed Redskins football donated by Rick Hunt Ford and a Redskins jacket donated by Rankins Sporting Goods. Winners need not be present. The kids are now selling tickets for $1; contest will last until Aug. 19. The community is invited to visit Stuart Field evenings and Saturdays to support the teams and share in the excitement. Tennis clinic
Attention tennis players, signup and rating for the tennis clinic which is being sponsored by the Rappahannock Park Authority will be held Saturday, July 22 from 8 to 10 a.m. The clinic will be held July 24August 4. 1974 Graduates sought
Members of the 1974 graduating class of Rappahannock County High School are planning a reunion this year. This will be a fifteen year reunion, though it will be the first get together for the group. Flea market at Castleton
Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a flea market on Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Ben Venue Market, beginning at 9 a.m. Donations may be dropped off at the fire house or for further information or pickups call 937-5614 or 937-5292.
