Councilman Peter Skowronski said he had had a running battle with Mrs. Willis over adopting standards. “I don't like the idea of preserving anything for the sake of it being old. This is a marvelous addition, a useful addition."
Mrs. Willis, a member of both the ARB and the council, said she saw the issue as whether additions should be allowed or not. "If so, then this is a good one ... I sit at this table representing the town’s residents, deciding what is best for them. I don’t think that the people in town want a museum town.”
