Life drawing workshop

The Middle Street Gallery Artists’ Cooperative has resumed its Life Drawing Workshop on Thursday evenings, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This is an open workshop with no instructor, but a model provided. Bring your own art supplies. Fee is $10. For additional information call 675-3440.

Benefit auction for SVFD

The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a benefit auction on Saturday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at the fire hall. Anyone wishing to donate items should contact C.B. Johnson at 987-8264 or Tim Falls at 987-8142.

Woman's Club to meet

The Rappahannock Woman’s Club will meet on Tuesday, March 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Cheri Woodard near Sperryville. Mrs. Woodard will speak to the group on “The Wonderful World of Herbs.” All members are urged to attend.

Tony Rice returns

Tony Rice with his Confederate Agents is returning to the Gay Street Theatre in Washington for two nights this Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24 at 8 p.m. The two evenings will feature different programs but both will contain a mixture of traditional bluegrass numbers along with jazz and folk pieces from Rice’s vast repertoire. Admission is $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Advance tickets are recommended for this special event. For tickets and information call RAAC at 675-3193 or the Arts Hotline at 675-3073.
