NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, on April 11, 1990, at 8:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matters may be heard, in the Courtroom of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County in Washington, Virginia, the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia will hold a public hearing pursuant to Section 15.1-431 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, for the purpose of considering the following matters:
1) Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance amending, Articles 1,6, 7, 8, and 9. The purpose of said Amendments shall be primarily to bring the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of Washington into conformity with state law as it regards issuance of special use permits, appeals of administrative officer’s decisions, powers of the Board of Zoning Appeals, appeals of the decisions of the Board of Zoning Appeals, violations of the Zoning Ordinance and penalties therefor, and amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.
2) Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance, Section 5-4-1, to allow structures to be built up to a height of 45 feet by special use permit.
3) Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, Section 5-8-4, to allow parking connected with a commercial use on residentially zoned land owned by the operator of the commercial use, by special use permit.
4) An Ordinance to vacate Lot #4 of the LOMP Subdivision, and to merge that vacated lot with Lot #5 of the LOMP Subdivision.
5) Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow the use of package treatment plans for existing structures, where the existing septic and drainfield system has failed or no longer meets the requirements of the Commonwealth of Virginia Health Department.
After the said public hearings, the Council may decide to:
1) Adopt said Ordinances or Amendments;
2) Modify said Ordinances or Amendments;
3) Or take no action on said Ordinances and Amendments.
Copies of said Amendments or Ordinances subject to public hearing will be available for view by the public during normal working hours at the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County and at the Zoning Administrator’s Office on Main Street in Washington Virginia.
All parties desiring to be heard on these matters should appear at the time and place as stated above.
