Several departments are now located near this entrance to the be more convenient for those who need to see them. The cashier, business office, data processing, administration, employee relations, and community relations moved to new quarters this year.

The centerpiece of the $4 million project, the new surgical suite marks the completion of phase II. Moving with the surgical suite was the outpatient surgery department which, as an integral part of the surgical suite, provides a smoother and more private experience for patients.

The lobby at the elevators was refurbished as the primary waiting area for families. Near this comfortable, carpeted area are several services for visitors’ convenience.

The Auxiliary’s new coffee shop has an informal cafe area and vending machines for 24 hour service. The gift shop is adjacent to the coffee shop.

Furnished by this year’s Lights of Love, the new chapel is a place of solitude and inspiration. Sharing the chapel’s colorful stained glass window is the consultation room where family members can discuss procedures privately with surgeons.

With the completion of phase II, work is underway on phase III. The Cardiopulmonary department moved to space left by Administration near the registration area. This department has plans to add a cardiac rehabilitation program to their services.
