Choreography workshop
Jonathan Wolken, founder of the internationally acclaimed Pilobolus Dance Company, will be offering a Choreoghraphy/Dance Workshop Saturday, March 31st and Sunday, April 1st from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the studio of Sally Nash in Sperryville. The emphasis of the workshop will be on improvisation, experimentation, cooperation and creativity. Both beginners and advanced dancers are welcome. Tuition is $55. Trapezoid anniversary
Trapezoid will be celebrating its 15th Anniversary Concert at the Gay Street Theater in Washington with two performances, Friday and Saturday, April 6th and 7th at 8 p.m. The concert will feature special guest appearances by former members of Trapezoid including Lorraine Duisit, Ralph Gordon, Sam Rizzetta and Tina Lisa Jones. The concert is being sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. RCES Book Fair
The Rappahannock County Elementary School library is holding a book fair from Thursday, March 29 to Thursday, April 5. A wide selection of high quality, high interest paperback books for children will be for sale in the library. There are also items of interest for adults, including gift, craft, and activity books. Profits from the book fair will be used for books and materials for the Library. The public is invited to attend the fair during regular school hours, 8:30 to 3:30, each day. “Encourage your child to read by supporting the book fair,” said Librarian Aney Massie.
Spaghetti dinner at RCHS
RCHS Senior class is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner preceding “The Hollow” presented by the RCHS Drama Department on Friday, March 23. The dinner will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. in the RCHS Commons area. Tickets are available from any participating senior or can be purchased at the door. Cost is $5.00 for adults, children under 6 free. The proceeds will alleviate expenses for the senior trip.
Dance at Amissville
The band Nightfall will be playing for a dance sponsored by the Amissville Fire Department on Saturday, March 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. You must be 21 and proper dress is required. For reservations call Sheila Scott at 937-4357.
