“Opce the boundary adjustment is passed,” Mr. Reynolds added, and all the property is included within the town limit, “the owners could apply to resubdivide again.”
The council also approved an application by Col. and Mrs. Stewart Willis for a special use permit for three apartments and a retail space of less than 700 square feet in a building the own (the former Norman property) next to the Country Cafe on Main St.
The application won approval only after a lengthy discussion of parking problems in the town, particularly in the area of the village square. The Willis’s site plan shows two parking spaces in front of the building, and another eight in a gravel lot behind the building. That, Col. Willis told the council, is several more than required by the zoning ordinance.
