“It’s not very likely that there could be two (Wakefields),” said Mr. Longyear.
But Dr. Clarke said, “We still have a full complement of dedicated teachers,” and put the figure at about 75 percent of last year’s school faculty. New teachers have been hired to replace those who have resigned, he said.
The three new sites, he said, would serve “at least 90 percent” of the students, and a majority would have a shorter bus ride, he said.
“The Wakefield School we had last year will be opening on another site, barring [a] settlement,” said Dr. Clarke.
