A Front Royal man was injured in a single-vehicle accident on Route 729, 100 feet north of U.S. 211, at 12:19 a.m. July 31, according to Sgt. D.S. Adams of the State Police.
Domingo Mendoza Miranda, 24, was operating a 1980 AMC two-door when he skidded into a curve and ran off the right side. The vehicle overturned, said Sgt. Adams.
Miranda, who was injured, was charged by Trooper C.A. Moore with driving under the influence of alcohol, said Sgt. Adams.
Damage to the car was estimated at $500.

• A VCR and two cassette tape players were stolen from a room at the back of Amissville Methodist Church, according to Rappahannock Sheriff John Henry Woodward.
He said the break-in, through a window, was reported on Aug. 2.
