Homecoming and revival The Slate Mills Baptist Church will be observing homecoming and revival beginning Sunday, Aug. 11 and continuing through Friday, Aug. 16. The Rev. Lanny Horton, director of missions of the Shiloh Baptist Association will be the guest minister. He is a graduate of Clifton Forge High School, the University of Richmond and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Following the morning worship those attending are invited to gather under the pavilion for a meal. Nightly services will be at 8 p.m. and special music will be provided each evening. The congregation and pastor cordially invite all to attend.
