“Pretty as a peach”. . .“Peaches and cream complexion”. . .“Peachy keen”. . .Many more quotes have equated the peach with beauty and goodness. A “peach” is a dear friend or a good day is just “peachy.”

According to my co-worker and agricultural agent, Tommy Williams, this year’s local peach crop should be a bountiful and good quality one. Mr. Williams also said that this year’s peach and apple season should be a week early because of the early spring.
