Becky Gallegos from Rappahannock County participated in the National 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl Nov. 5-7 which was held in conjunction with the North American Livestock Exhibition in Louisville, Ky.
She went as a member of the 1993 Virginia 4-H Dairy Bowl team. Becky was formerly a member of the 4-H Dairy Club in. Rockingham County and now resides with Sam and Wanda Snead in Washington.
Her trip wras centered around the 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl competition.
Upon arriving Becky and her team members Steven Welsh of Rockingham County, Hunter Chapman and Laurel Chapman of Shenandoah County were required to take a written test to determine the order in which the state teams played.
On Saturday the first match began at 8 in the morning. Most of Saturday was spent competing with the other 23 states which were represented in the double elimination contest.
Following the contest each team member attended an achievement banquet and dance. The team was
