Fun Fest
Successful
To the Editor:
This year’s RCES Halloween Fun Fest was the most successful Fun Fest ever at Rappahannock Elementary School. A large part of this success was due to the participation and support given by Rappahannock and surrounding area citizens. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who helped make our 1993 Halloween Fun Fest a memorable event.
Donation were given by Winston May-2 Redskin Tickets, F&M Bank (Flint Hill Branch)-$50 Savings Bond, Day’s Creations of the Warreton Grafters Mall-Witch Doll, Cabin Fever-Book, The Beauty Box-Haircut, and Settles Grocery-10 bags of ice.
I also want to thank those parents and 6th grade students who baked goos, gave candy for the treat bags, and donated their time to help run the games and sell tickets. Thanks to Ellen Joback, my cochair, who did the calling around to get the prizes for the rsffle along with other leg work.
A huge thanks goes to those wTho worked in the Haunted School House all night: Gary Graves, Wendy Whitford, Jim Joback, Zach Corbin, Chris Graves, and Joey Joback. Plenty of screaming was heard in the hallways.
A special thanks goes to the workers who helped me set up the entire Halloween Fun Fest, when my scheduled workers couldn’t show, and who stuffed the 200 treat bags of candy given out: Chris Graves, Jeremy Graves, Bruce Chadwick and Dawn Winslow-Chadwick. Bruce and Dawn do not even have children in our school system.
Once again thanks to all of you for making the Halloween Fun Fest a success.
