The Northern District Extension Secretaries Association held its Kail In-Service at Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center on Oct. 4 and 5. On Monday, an Administrative Update was given by Dr. William Allen, Interim Director of Virginia Tech, and Mr. Lorenzo Lyons, Dean of the School of Agriculture, Science and Technology', Virginia State University, followed by a Benefits Briefing by Kennith Martin, Personnel Officer, Virginia Tech. We were taught the Fine Points of WordPerfect and Lotus from our Computer Resource Specialist, Neal Vines. Also, Wanda Adams and Sharon Broyles, our 1992 Outstanding Secretaries, gave us a presentation on “Tips to Make Your Job Easier.” A Common Health program was presented by Andrea Taylor, Regional Coordinator, and entertainment that evening was provided by Lance and Sheila Kauf.
