Cancelled
To the Editor:
The Child Care & Learning Center had to cancel the Fifth Annual Haunted Hayrides due to two days of rain and very sloppy ground conditions that would have been hazardous to all. Cancelling this event has meant a loss of about $2000 in fundraising revenues that we count on for our scholarship program. We are refunding advance ticket money to anyone that asks, and we thank the many people who have generously made donations of their ticket money.
I want to take this opportunity to thank the staff, the Board and the many parent volunteers of the Child Care and Learning Center for their hours of preparation for the “hayride that never happened.” I want to publicly thank Kathy Kreyling, our Haunted Hayride Acts Director, for lining up so much local talent for this community event. We’ll look foward to next year!
